Avoid Being Hated in the Lumberyard: Episode 56

Show Notes

Back today after some time off for Hurricane evacuations, power outages and catching up on work!  Thank you for your patience while we were down.  #Irmageddon

Today we are talking to our friend Chris Osborne from the Play Comics Podcast about the lumberyard and the dos and don’ts when you go looking for Pinterest project supplies.  We discover that Pinterest is a source of frustration for everyone, not just the person trying to execute the plan.

Take Aways

  1. Find your local hardware or lumber store…build the relationships with the people in the business and support local business.  #shoplocal
  2. Have realistic expectations about your Pinterest project and heed the advice of the person in the lumberyard.
  3. Listen to the employees.  They are the experts and if you’re asking for something and they say they don’t have it – don’t waste time arguing about things you don’t know about.
  4. If you ‘ve been working with Chris about buying doors for your house, remember his name so you don’t have to start over with a new person.

About The Liz & Toni:

Liz and Toni are passionate about helping people be kind to one another on all occasions (except when the Hurricanes play the Seminoles). Toni teaches Pinterest and gives gifts to teachers while Liz fails at Pinterest projects and forgets gifts across the board. Join them by subscribing to Avoid Being Hated’s email list, and on iTunes.
